This podcast focuses on the social determinants of health for black communities. These determinants are multifaceted and their impacts go further than normal life, with COVID-19 affecting these communities greater than others. Social determinants such as income, racism, and health promotion are the main themes of this podcast. The high prevalence of COVID-19 cases in black communities comes from a root issue that needs to be addressed and fixed in order to ensure equity for all.

Guest speaker Keddone Dias, executive director of LAMP Community Health Centre, gives insight on how certain disadvantages and issues are always present, yet only being brought to light during the pandemic.
